Since joining TVAS in 2003 Edel has worked on a number of major infrastructure projects including the N18 Ennis Bypass, Limerick Southern Ring Road and M7 Nenagh to Limerick motorway.

Edel became a licence eligible excavation director in 2007 and has held a number of licences for various types of sites; monitoring wind farms, testing housing developments and graveyard extensions and more recently the excavation of a medieval site in Tallaght. She also acted as Project Manager on several of these schemes.

In the last number of years Edel has been involved in post-excavation work, writing post-medieval small finds reports, contributed to scheme monographs and has accumulated a number of (as yet unpublished) report authorships.

Edel became a member of IAI in 2007 and actively attends their CPD courses.
